A COLD CLEAR day to snowshoe. The temp never got above freezing, when out of the wind it was quite nice. Stopping at the lake to eat our lunch was a tad cold, let's just say it was a quick lunch... it was a fabulous day!

Bassi Fall was the snowshoe destination for the day. Not a place you can always snowshoe to due to its lower elevation but the last couple storms dropped enough... snow. Off we went, three of us. It was much harder than we expected, nobody had been in since the last snow and not very many from the snow before that. But we were game, we lost the trail now then, we all fell at least once, but it was a great day. After our lunch stopped we decided to go back the "easy" way along the forest service road. It was not easier, nobody had been this way, oh well, we trudged on. It took us longer than expected but it was a wonderful outing. See more
