Great news ....our nearest local winery is back doing tastings again and hopefully will be allowed to continue !!

Another family enjoying their first outing in months enjoying the Beauty and peace of Birdsong.

So rewarding to host these families first outings in months and see how excited the kids were to be in nature .

Last week was really busy at Birdsong and we hosted our first official guests: a beautiful family in the Bunkhouse and a friend looking for a solo retreat with... her dog at Camp Chester . We managed to finish the deck for it's open air bathhouse, got the property botanized by our friend Jon Rebman, got propane lines in and tank delivered to the Tiny House, experimented with a portable fence concept for camping guests with dogs, made much more progress on the trails thanks to Stacy, Orfilio and Clyde and had several requests for June bookings so feeling that our concept for the retreat is going to work. People are looking to Nature to recharge safely away from the crowds and nothing could be healthier. See more

We had our first official guests at the retreat last weekend ! Botany Curator at San Diego Natural History Museum and old friend, Jon Rebman who kindly offered to botanize the property and documented over 200 plants in one day, a few of which are rare and added them to iNaturalist database along with these stunning photos. For those of you who do not know about iNaturalist, it an app that will help with identification and documents where you found each species of both flora and fauna. It pinpoints on a map and you can see what else has been found in that area.

Time to celebrate ! Our website for the retreat is officially done and I am nearly crosseyed from edits but I am sure there will be stuff I missed but please check it out ! Our new Nature retreat is now taking bookings for June......secluded, remote venue for rewilding experience but with amenities. No crowds....almost no people actually......85 acres of forest and chaparral and only 2 cabins and 1 campsite with hiking galore.

Hi everyone......hang in there ! We are looking forward to hosting guests again as usual starting in May and there are still some open days. We are honoring the previous reservations of course and whenever possible are leaving 1-2 vacant days before and after guests to give us extra time to sanitize. If you want to book, message me and you can book directly thru me and save yourself a booking fee. The dates available in May are 4,5,6 and in June 16,17,18. $185 per night..., never additional fees for pets or cleaning. Also, Birdsong, our new nature retreat venue is just about finished and should be open for guests June 1. The website is nearly complete and I will post when it goes online. It is a really special place and if you like Camp Ribbonwood, you will want to check out......85 private acres of trails, oaks, with 2 very different artisanal cabins with hot tubs, decks and one glampsite all with loads of privacy and fenced yards for the fur babies. Hike our trails, , cook a pizza, swing in the hammock .....it is gorgeous out here right now with all the rain and wildflowers coming up. Pretty much finished our "little ranch" vintage horse trailer reno project and she turned out with a very sweet vibe but not the way we originally envisioned .......we thought we would do something really rustic but I think she wanted to be a little fancy after having hauled horses for the last 58 years. She will be moved to our property in Chihuahua Valley as a vacation rental ...here are some before and afters. See more
