What is Radical Joy? Calling all Akili Youth!!! Come to our next Akili Gathering this Sunday November 3rd from 10am-2pm. We will be exploring Radical Joy, The love Of Sisterhood, how to have Restorative Conversations and awaken or inner child.... As, mentioned at our last session, we hope to have many more gatherings throughout the year centered around us coming together and building. Our next gathering will take place this coming Sunday November 3rd from 10am-2pm at Studio To Be located at 906 Washington St., Oakland Ca 94607. This gathering is an open invitation to all youth who attend this year’s Camp Akili. The day will consist of three experiential workshops (For the love of sisterhood, Restorative Conversations, and Radical Joy) facilitated by Sister T, Sister Rae’chel, and Brother Marc Anthony. Food will be provided, all we ask is that you be present and prepared to play, have fun, and love our inner child.

When I tell you that I am SO proud of Jazz Monique Hudson and the work that Camp Akili is doing I couldn’t be more serious!! They showed up and showed OUT yes...terday inside the store and for the unsheltered community in the Downtown Oakland Area. Jazz reminded me that we met 13 years ago, both in the community putting in work to make change. All I can say is that, Queen Hippie Gypsy was blessed and the impact will he felt for a long time to come!
