FYI Cameron Park residents, BLM is scheduled to have burn projects on Pine Hill this week located off of Mira Loma. If you see smoke or smell it we are aware. Thank you so much for understanding!!

As the weather is warming up and it’s a great time to get out there and do yard work remember the first two weeks in April and December are the only times we can burn here in Cameron Park on lots under 2 acres, And only with a valid burn permit.

This morning just after 5am engine 89, engine 88, and B2715, along with #EDHFire and El Dorado County Fire responded to a structure fire on Rustic Rd in Cameron Park. The fire was quickly continued, and all occupants made it out with out injuries.

Station 89 has been flooded with phone calls about sand bags this week with all the rain. Both 88 and 89 did not receive sand bags this year. Please check the local hardware stores if you are in need. please stay safe out there.

As we are in the middle of winter and a lot of us here in the community use our fireplaces to stay warm it is important to always practice fireplace safety, here are a few tips to help. 1) Have your fireplace professionally cleaned regularly. 2) Always put hot ashes in a metal container to cool. 3) Never burn plastic or garbage. 4) Make sure you have proper clearance around your chimney (10feet).
