It was a great day for a 9th grade study trip to Siem Reap and Angkor Wat! While delayed a bit this year due to the pandemic, this has become a great tradition over the past few years and gives our graduating 9th graders the opportunity to learn more about the rich history of Cambodia and celebrate their hard work at The Cambodia Academy. Congratulations!

It is a happy day for all of usThe Cambodia Academy is back in session! We send our great thanks to Dr. Hang Chuon Naron and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport for permission to reopen. We also thank Soviet Miech, Dara Pei, Sa Sok, and the entire faculty and staff for their diligence in preparing the campus to ensure the safety of our students. Due to the pandemic, we are not able to offer bus service yet and we are not cleared to reopen the cafeteria. Even so, it is... wonderful to see the students back on campus and getting back to learning. We look forward to the day when we can reinstate these two essential services. We also put up a new and improved school sign on highway 5. The old one was worn out, and the new one is much sturdier and is visible from both directions, whether you are arriving from Battambang or from Sisophon! From the bottom of our hearts, we thank our supporters for your continued contributions and concern. We have a lot of work in front of us to keep the school running safely under the new regulations, and your donations have never been more important. We'll post photos and updates here as we have them.

Hello friends of The Cambodia Academy, On behalf of the board, faculty and students, we want to send you our best wishes for your continued health, safety and well-being during this unprecedented time. We also wanted to give you an update on what’s happening at the school. As is the case with many state and national governments around the world, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) in Cambodia ordered the closure of all private and public educational institution...s in the country effective Monday, March 16th. At this point, there is no information on a definitive date for a return to class. As of 7. April, Thailand has extended school closures to July, and we expect that Cambodia may follow this action. The well-being of our students and faculty is our primary concern, and we applaud the ministry’s action to protect all the students in Cambodia. We have relayed our support to principal Miech and the faculty and have assured them that they will continue to be paid on a normal schedule. However, cafeteria service has been suspended during the shutdown. Our faculty and students and their families are experiencing the same concern and uncertainty that you are during this evolving situation, and we are closely monitoring how this develops so that we can be of help and assistance as we are able. We’re all in this together, and we appreciate your continued concern for and support of The Cambodia Academy.
