Good evening community. I want to take some time to speak out against dirty politics and political attacks surrounding my campaign. I have been made aware by several of my supporters that my opponent released an attack ad this week. On top of engaging in dirty politics, this attack ad was released without a paid for by disclaimer. This attack is completely out of context and gives false information. It was also conveniently released with her campaign literature and the same ...weekend as her mailer. During this race, my opponent has continuously tried to discredit my experience and dedication to Pomona, reported me to the FPPC without cause, stolen lawn signs, illegally placed her signs in the public right of way and failed to disclose details surrounding her partner even after a number of questions from parents and residents. This is not honest and ethical. While I have remained quiet on the matter, there comes a point where you can no longer stay quiet. The fact of the matter is that my opponent should not be in this race, it is completely disrespectful to the parents and students in our schools, I have ran a clean race, I have direct policy experience and I have actual community support and the support of effective leaders. But exclusive of all the questions surrounding the intentions of her candidacy, the fact of the matter is that I am much more qualified than my opponent. Hit pieces and attack ads are signs of desperation and a last resort when somebody cannot run on their own merits. I thank all of the folks who have spoken up and share their disgust with the dirty politics of my opponent. We will not be fazed by dirty tactics and baseless attacks. Thank you all for the love, support and kind words. My heart goes out to all the victims of sexual assault in our community and I want to remind you that you are not invisible, you are heard and your trauma is valid. I believe survivors. Going into the final stretch this week and I can’t help but be thankful for all the constant support and kind words from folks. When I started this campaign in February, I knew it would be a tremendous undertaking. I am proud to have ran a fair campaign, with strong support from amazing leaders in Pomona. I am not running for myself, I am not running because I thought it would be an easy grab or because I am following in somebody’s footsteps. I am simply running because our ...children and families deserve a champion who knows how to advocate fiercely and will get things done. Somebody who will answer to parents and the community, and not just a select few. Somebody who will face issues head on, and not hide from adversity when it counts. As we go into these final 7 days, I want to thank every single person who contributed to my campaign, shared my posts, spoke to your friends about my campaign, walked your neighborhood for me, put up a lawn sign for me, endorsed me and folks who have already voted for me. Continue sharing, continue speaking with neighbors, continue reminding folks to get out and vote!

They mentioned to me that they exchanged a laptop that had an administrator lock and unusable for schoolwork by their child. A few years ago, I joined Young Invincibles, a millennial advocacy group that fights for equity in healthcare, jobs and higher education. I traveled to Washington DC with a group of young leaders to advocate for a change in policy on student debt, I traveled to Sacramento to advocate for more transparency in the Local Control Funding Formula, I advocated for a retirement savings program that young people can access, I advocated for student hunger relief and food insecurity po...licies and I advocated for the accessibility of vocational education programs to high school students. Spent the morning cleaning-up Kennedy Park. Thank you to @themiraclewarriors for organizing this event. Had a great time with other candidates. Kennedy Park is a special place to me; it is directly across from my alma mater and was the park I crossed to get home when I went to Marshall. As a young person, I was told not to visit this space because I was told it wasn’t safe. Fast forward years later and this park has been improved so much. It was amazing to see so much positive activity at the park. I look forward to working with our elected officials to revitzalize our communities by working together.

Good afternoon community and supporters, This afternoon I received an email from the Fair Political Practices Commission about an anonymous complaint alleging that my distributed advertisements did not include my committee ID number. While I value the anonymity of concerned citizens in the pursuit of fair political practices, this complaint was not the case. Either knowingly or unknowingly, my opponent forgot to crop the screenshots that she submitted to the FPPC. While I we...lcome worthwhile and factual complaints from political opponents, this complaint was a baseless accusation. The FPPC is meant to use their time to investigate real complaints and address grievances that threaten our fair political processes. To be clear to my opponent and community: my door hangers, lawn signs, postcards and sponsored posts on social media outlets all have the paid for by disclaimer. I have always kept this race clean and fair and I will share my 460’s upon request. My race is powered by small donations, and I have been in this race since February. I am posting this post in an effort to be ethical, transparent and honest. I would encourage my opponent to stop wasting the FPPC’s time on a baseless accusation and attack on her opponent, and instead spend some time to address very real and concerning issues and questions that parents have about her decision to run. Thank you to all my supporters for the continuous support. I will always be open and follow any and all rules set forth by the FPPC and the Los Angeles County Registrar/Recorders Office.
