:::Important Update::: Dear Parents and Students of Calvary Chapel Christian School, I am reaching out to you today because of an updated response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As some of you are aware, last night a decision was made by the Health Officer of Riverside County to extend the closure of all schools, public and private, to April 30. We understand the gravity of the situation which has necessitated this drastic, long-term change. We support and will be in compliance... with this decision. At this time, we as a school administration are developing a long-term plan to continue your child's education through the month of April. Currently, your students are working on homework packets which went home on March 16. These homework packets will be turned in to the school on Monday, April 6 for grading. On that day there will be a new packet ready for you to take home. Additionally, the teachers are going to be available every day that school would be in session to answer any questions that may come up as your child is working through their homework packets. Thank you for your patience with this evolving process; the COVID-19 situation is very fluid and so many things remain subject to change. We will provide you with updates should things change. Some things, of course, do not change: God is still sovereign in our lives; our families are our highest priority; and we will continue to do our best to serve you and your family. I am praying for all of us to have perseverance and patience. Remember that we will make it through these challenging times and be stronger because of how we handle adversity. Sincerely in Christ, Tim Hamilton, Principal Calvary Chapel Christian School
:::URGENT UPDATE::: Dear Parents and Students at Calvary Chapel Christian School, I am sure that all of you have been concerned about how our school will be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.... As you should know by now, President Trump declared this health crisis to be a national emergency today. In response, several school districts in our area have decided to close their schools in the effort to contain the virus and limit the exposure of children and families to the virus. We have decided that it is in the best interest of the students, staff, families, and community in general that Calvary Chapel Christian School be closed for the next three weeks. CCCS will be closed from Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 3. Classes will resume on Monday, April 6 (which was originally going to be the week of Easter Vacation). Teachers will be here on Monday, March 16 to assemble homework packets; the students will have three weeks of time to complete the two weeks of work. Parents, you need to stop by the school on Monday to pick up all your students’ books and the homework packets. Please plan on coming between the hours of 12:30 and 3:30 pm. Please know that your students’ teachers will continue to be available to them via email, class dojo, and RenWeb. Thank you for your on-going support of our school. We are going to make it through this challenging time as we keep our faith in God, make wise decisions, and hold on to the hope we have in Jesus Christ. God bless you.
