Étude biblique interactive, Matthieu 28:16-20 Observations: The disciples commit themselves to their faith, despite having doubts. The disciples did not have the same standard of faith.... Jesus always tries to approach us. He seeks closeness with His disciples despite his divinity. Jesus has compassion. He does not reproach them in their doubts. Power is a gift from God. Jesus is subject to the Father. There is a transmission of power. The prescribed mission was enormous. He asks us to work with God. By taking obedient steps with God, we draw near to one another. Jesus does the same with His disciples as God did with Moses. He asks them to do for others what He has done for them. Jesus did not speak of the law (‘commanded you’). Disciple means to follow discipline. Baptism means a commitment, a choice. Jesus is omnipresent, faithful, and does not give up. Jesus is passionate for their mission. ‘ The end of the world’ means evangelism is completed. God is with us no matter what. We have to look at what Jesus wants to do. Our power depends on Jesus. We must bow down in moments of doubt. We are small; we make ourselves small. One does not put oneself in the present moment as needed. Doubt does exclude having confidence or faith. Doubt makes us seek in God. God sees us in the steps we take. Doubt is not a bad word. See more
