Our Lord Jesus Is Precious! To you therefore who believe, He is precious! All Things Work Together for Good! Dear Christian, in perilous times you must believe that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28) That is, You must believe that the Lord is able to do what He will, wise to do what is best, and good, according to His promise, to do what is best for you, if you love Him, and serve Him. ~ Matthew Henry

Christ Cleanses from All Sin! The Lord’s merciful promise to us is that if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:7) Therefore, we have the assurance from God, Himself, that No guilt is so great, but there is a remedy in Christ's blood which atones for it. No corruption is so strong, but there is a remedy in His grace which can subdue it. ~ Matthew Henry

Find Your Comfort in Christ’s Coming! For ‘The Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven.’ (I Thess. 4:16) . . . and He is coming Himself for you. Abounding Grace for Great Sinners! Cold and Heat Shall Remain! Our LORD’s promise concerning the earth’s climate is that, While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. (Gen. 8:22) That is, as Daniel Whedon accurately explains that, the great natural changes shall be orderly and uniform (not altered by man), all the days of the earth . . . God's promise, then, is universal for mankind, and declares that the earth’s annual changes such as "cold and heat,' with regard both to productions and temperature, shall be regular and perpetual, While the earth remains.

Your Cares Belong in Jesus’ Hands! Jesus said to the Apostle Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold My hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into My side: and be not faithless, but believing. (John 20:27) So also, dear Christian, just as Jesus commanded Thomas to place his finger into the print of the nails of Jesus' hands, you as well are called of God to place all your cares into Jesus’ nail-sacred hands. When by faith, your cares are placed in Jesus’ hands, you will see How unspeakably wonderful it is to know that all your concerns are held in Jesus’ hands which bled for you! ~ John Newton

There’s More Than All in Christ! Oh, dear Christian can you say with the Apostle Paul, Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ. (Phil. 3:8) And do you declare the same testimony of John Calvin, when he said, I have given up all for Christ, and what have I found? I have more than all in Christ.

Being Righteous by Faith Alone! O dear Christian is it your desire to be found in the Lord, not having your own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith? (Philippians 3:9) Then, fear not for of God are you in Christ Jesus, Who of God is made unto you not only righteousness but wisdom, and sanctification, and redemption. (1 Cor. 1:30)
