Sandplay Therapists of America 2019 Assembly Accessible Training for the Jungian-Kalffian Sandplay Community... Sandplay and the Body Friday, May 17th Sunday, May 19th Marriott Courtyard Hotel, Minneapolis MN Clinical Presentations - Case Consultation - Writing and Presentation Skills Workshops - Members’ Meeting In recent years, there has been an explosion of research in the neurosciences which has elucidated much about how the brain develops and how the events of life, such as trauma, shape and change the brain throughout the lifespan. CG Jung, whose work provides the foundation for sandplay therapy, understood almost a hundred years ago that the mind and body were inextricably linked. In sandplay, this link is seen again and again in both the symbolic activity of the psyche and the embodied experience of healing and change. STA’s 2019 Assembly addresses the many ways in which the body enters into the sandplay therapy process and how we weave somatic and nervous system-based methods into the healing process.
