California Overland Desert Excursions

Thanks to Sisters, Mindy and Lan, Our First Guests Since Reopening! We ventured out Sunday on our first tour since March. The Park just opened completely two weeks ago and some things have really changed. A tall, dead palm at 17 Palms that has stood as a sentinel for at least 20 years toppled (see photos). And, the lack of vehicle activity has left the washes with relentlessly deep sand, especially going up to Font's Point. We even had to self-extract with the winch and then aid two other vehicles. We had an adventure! Mindy and Lan, you guys are ace desert rats!

California Overland Has Reopened! (At least for now) Hey everyone! We just got our approval from the Park to reopen. Check out the website for info on our intial opening specifics. With our safety protocol in place we are looking forward to anyone that wants to beat the stay-at-home blues.

Remembering My Dad, Joe, This Father's Day. His love, advice and support helped to make California Overland a successful business. Along the way we shared some great adventures. Dad suddenly left on his own adventure last year at nearly 90. He was a wonderful part of many peoples' lives. He was my best friend. Happy Father's Day to all you great dads!
