Cal Gymnastics Club, UC Berkeley 31.10.2020

Shared from our alumni page Alumni of Cal Gymnastics Club. This effort is put on by our recently removed alumni and community members. Please help donate! - The Cal Gymnastics Club has been around for over 15 years, and we've formed a deeply-connected, diverse family that has continued to grow each year. A major tenant of our club that helped create this amazing community is inclusivity. Regrettably, a new policy has been passed by the University disallowing non-st...udents from becoming a part of our club. Both students and non-students are an integral part of our family and community, and we are saddened by this news. Community members and alumni have always been there to support students both mentally and with managing the club while they venture through the extreme academic rigor of this university. Our alumni family will be continuing to fight alongside the students for inclusion despite the aforementioned policy and are working on solutions. In order to aid us, we have set up a crowdfunding campaign to help fund those efforts and provide the club the ability to still welcome members from any background. All funds raised will go toward providing gymnastics to students, alumni, and community members in the Cal Gymnastics Club family. Please share with your friends and family so we can achieve our goals of inclusivity. Thank you. The crowdfunding link can be found here: gf.me/u/yjmjk3 We are also accepting donations via venmo! You can venmo our team @calgymalumni

Hello flippers! It has been a while since the club has held practice, and some of us are missing it greatly. That is why we have decided to start posting remote activities to stay involved with the sport. We also have an idea to host a blue team style, coached Zoom workout likely Thursday evenings. There is a poll in the story to assess interest in the Zoom workouts. Please take a second to fill it out and let us know what you think. Also if you have Instagram, follow @naigcfit for daily workouts geared for gymnastics you can do at home!

Urgent announcement: ALL current Blue AND Gold Team club members must have finished the Concussion Safety Test by THIS MONDAY, or the club will lose 1 compliance point PER MEMBER. Here's what you need to do: (1) Log on here: https://uctraining.wufoo.com/forms/z1rgubtq1gya1fm/... (2) Take the test. Note that if you click "test" on the left side (you must also watch a ~30 second video after clicking "test" before you can take it), you get ONE CHANCE to pass it without viewing the modules. You need to get 7/10 questions right to pass. If you do not pass it on the first try, you must then watch the modules to access more attempts. (3) Save the "you passed" screen as a PDF by clicking "file"-->"print"-->"save as PDF"(in the drop-down under "PDF" in the print screen). (4) Go to IMLeagues and log in. You should have a banner at the top that says "Warning! You have forms that need to be completed, click here to access your forms." Click the "here" link. One of the form options should say "SC AT - UCOP Concussion Safety Training". Click that link. You will need to fill out everything in that link and click the green "Submit for Review" button at the bottom. (4) MOST IMPORTANTLY you must send the saved PDF OR the "you passed" email to [email protected] BEFORE Monday, or it won't be valid. Thanks for all of your hard work. Go Bears!
