Along with you, we at CalDisso by Daigneault Law have been monitoring the progress and unsettling nature of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Please note that we will be taking the following steps to ensure the safety of our staff, clients and visitors, while still fulfilling the needs of our clients. The firm will remain fully operational. We are, however, temporarily closing the physical office to clients and visitors for the protection of our staff, as well as the sta...ff of other law offices located in our suite. Any in-person appointment or meeting will be rescheduled to a later date, or rescheduled as a telephonic or video conference meeting. We will continue to serve our existing clients, accept new matters, and respond to opposing counsel via phone, email, and video. Based on recent communications from the Supervising Judges of the Los Angeles and Orange County Superior Courts, any scheduled Court appearances occurring in the next 2-4 weeks will likely be continued. We will follow up directly with individual clients who have upcoming court hearings so we can assess the circumstances and, if necessary, facilitate any continuance with the Court and/or opposing counsel. Please send all correspondence, documents, or payments to our office via U.S. Mail or email until further notice. If it is necessary to drop off, review, or sign documents in person, please call the office and we will arrange to have a staff member pick up or deliver the documents to you in your vehicle parked outside of the office. During this past year CalDisso made the decision to begin assisting clients in a remote, but personal way. The primary use of this approach has been our online mediation practice. From the comfort and convenience (and now safety) of their own home or office our mediation clients are able to resolve their cases without ever physically stepping into a court room or even an attorney's office. During the online mediation sessions our attorney mediators are able to video conference with the clients, together or individually, and share working drafts of settlement agreements, financial documents, support calculations, and whatever other information is needed to make a fair resolution of their case. We will rely and expand on these remote practices in the coming weeks. We will keep you advised of any further changes in our office policy. Our primary concern is the health and safety of our staff and clients. We wish you all the best. Please stay healthy. Love is in the air at the office this Valentine's day. A beautiful couple on the way to the Courthouse for their big day. There's just one last little piece of business to take care of first.
