Great article here by Max Garrone of Mezcalistas. The Ventura Spirits boys are doing great work and their La Paloma agave spirit is remarkable. I recommend it to everyone who has any doubt that California can produce a wonderful agave spirit from agaves grown in California.

As Northern Californians look to rebuild from our horrific wildfire damage in the ag/urban interface it’s time to consider the powerful properties of agave to stop the spread of wildfires. Folks in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties are already moving in this direction.
