California Green Ribbon Schools

The 2021 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools and California Green Ribbon Schools application is due this Monday, November 16th, at 12:00 PM! #EDGRS #CAGRS

In an attempt to help you with your final preparations for the #CAGreenRibbon Application we have just launched a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page on the CDE website. McKinley Elementary has a 16,000 sq. ft. garden on site. All students grades pre-K to 6th are given opportunities to work in the garden throughout the school year. The mission is to create and sustain an organic garden and kitchen classroom that is integrated into the school’s curriculum and culture.
