Saturday sweets! Our Cinnamon Swirl French Toast is just as tasty as it looks. We're open until 2pm for outdoor seating, takeout, and delivery.

THE HOMEMADE CAFE WILL NOT BE REOPENING INDOOR DINING YET. Although indoor dining has been approved at 25% capacity in Berkeley starting Friday 10/23. We are going to wait to begin indoor dining. We truly miss all of your beautiful smiles, your witty comments while sitting at the counter and watching you refill your own coffee as many times as your heart desires. However, for now we are choosing to continue to provide full service at our outdoor tables (soon to be expanded...), take out and delivery. Your safety and well being as well as ours is our first priority. We appreciate all of your loyal patronage more than you may know. We vow to continue to provide you with our delicious homemade breakfast and lunch with a smile (even if you can't see it behind the mask) hopefully making you feel like family. We have been part of this community for 40+ years and plan to remain a vital part of it for 40 more. See more

Have you tried our Pumpkin and Smoked Gouda Frittata? Eggs baked with roasted pumpkin, smoked gouda and goat cheese, served over organic greens and a few home fries and topped with a basil pesto!

Breakfast + Burger = A Homemade Cafe specialty. Enjoy our creation of a homemade 1/3 lb burger patty (ground bacon, breakfast sausage, and ground beef), with cheddar cheese and an egg on grilled sourdough!

Are you ready for indoor dining??? Berkeley has announced indoor dining at 25% or 100 people max starting October 26th.
