This past Sunday, June 27th at approximately 3:30 am Buttonwillow CHP responded to a hit and run crash where a pedestrian was killed by an unknown vehicle. The crash happened on eastbound Highway 46 west of Brown Material Road in northwestern Kern County. We are asking for assistance from the public. Today we assisted CHP - Fort Tejon - Grapevine who were pursuing a vehicle over the grapevine. With the help of the Kern County Sheriff's Office helicopter we were able to cancel the pursuit and follow at a safe speed, letting the helicopter crew guide us right to the suspect when he stopped for gas. #chp #safetyserviceandsecurity #cantoutruntheradio #teamworkmakesthedreamwork
