It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of Chris Teschan. Chris was an amazing Scouter and a terrific human being. We just received word from Jordan Teschan, so we don't have much information, but as we find out more we will let everyone know. Please keep the Teschan family in your prayers.

From GEC-BSA Scout Camps: ----- F I N A L L Y . O P E N ! ! ! That's right!... Scouts with Scout families can finally plan on GETTING TO CAMP... "We are opening our family campsite rental program for both Camp Lassen and Camp Winton to Golden Empire Council members beginning Wednesday, July 15th. With the exception of Labor Day weekends, each weekend rental is for 2 nights and includes the entire campsite for 1 household per the State guidelines at a cost of $150 per weekend. Labor day weekend includes an extra night at a total cost of $200 for all 3 nights. A camp host will help make your stay even more enjoyable, but we know the opportunity to get outside with your family and out of the heat of the valley is the best treat of all!" Our large capacity campsites will be for your household only, so imagine the space, quiet, and enjoyment you can have at both of our camps. No close neighbors making lots of noise. Sharing Camp Winton with 6 other families or Camp Lassen with 11 other families - - - It will feel like you are the king of the castle for the weekend.
