Forbestown Fuel Reduction Grant Merry Mountain Village Shaded Fuel Break in Clipper Mills CA. Red Mountain Resources crews are working on the last section of the Merry Mountain SFB. The treatments include Hand Cut and Pile and Mastication. Red Mountain Resources recently purchased a track chipper and decided our project would be its maiden voyage. The RMR crew is using the track chipper on the mastication portion of the project. The hand cut and pile section will be eventua...lly burned by the Merry Mountain Property Owners Association staff at a later date. The project is 23 acres of the larger 90 acre fuel reduction project around a portion of the community of Clipper Mills along Grizzly Creek. Funding for this project provided by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection as part of the California Climate Investments Program. See more

The good folks at the Camp Fire Resotration Project are hosting an Oak and Native Tree Give Away on the anniversary weekend Nov. 7th and 8th at the Paradise Com...munity Guild Site. This is in partnership with the online conveing of the Paradise Revival Festival. What better way to commerate this day than the planting of new life. Our journey continues.
