On average, most people seek comfort and predictability--a steady 9-5 job, comfortable benefits, and a predictable paycheck. There is nothing wrong with this! But if you want a life that looks different than everyone else's, you're going to have to do something different. Dream bigger, think bigger, take risks, and get comfortable with being uncomfortable. A "story" is essentially an excuse. Often times our story is what keeps us from taking personal responsibility and giving our all. Often, people trade the results they want for their "story." Rather than following through on achieving goals, they let their stories and excuses get in the way. Is this happening in your life or business?

You don’t know what you don’t know. According to Albert Einstein, humans only use about 10%-20% of our brain. There is a small percentage of things we are aware that we know. For example, you know that you know the sky is blue. There is also a percentage of things we are aware that we don’t know. For example, I know that I don’t know how to speak French. But there is also a huge majority of things we don’t know that we don’t know. Coaches help point out what we aren’t aware that we don’t know.

Be commitment-focused. Have you ever set a goal, started off strong, and then lost passion and motivation as time went on? Too often we let our emotions, lack of motivation, or excuses get in the way of reaching our goals. What goals have you set that have gone unaccomplished?... Which of these goals would you like to pick back up and aim for again? What will it take for you to accomplish these goals? Who do you have holding you accountable? Be commitment-focused. You owe it to yourself. The world needs you to show up and bring what you have to offer.

Does your business have a clear mission statement and set of core values? Hear how having these in place can influence your whole company.

As we near the end of 2020, we want to remind you how important it is to stay focused on the good and to be proud of all you’ve overcome this year. Start your days off by listing these things!

Many times, there are aspects of our business, or even within ourselves that we choose to ignore. What are you pretending not to know, and how can you proactively fix those areas? Maybe you’re pretending not to know that you should ramp up your marketing. Maybe you’re pretending not to realize there are areas of your leadership skills that could use growth. Whatever it may be, the sooner you acknowledge it, the sooner you can improve it!
