I’m in the featured cocktail at The Press Bistro today! Try it during 4-6 happy hour or 9-10 happy hour. They’re both happy. Also, I’m legally required to post about two places at once, so Hawks has happy hour Burke Gin cocktails too!

I’m not dead! Fell off the face of social media for a bit, but the gin hasn’t even stopped to catch its breath. New cocktail by Zeph @HawksPublicHouse, too delicious and too kind.

Sometimes bad people do shitty things. Sometimes good people do shitty things. Today I got a note from a good person who did a shitty thing and then apologized about it (and also sent money!). People do nice things!!!!! Without being prompted!!!! Every single day!!! Hopefully CNN or Capital Public Radio will give this equal coverage :p Also, if the ANONYMOUS PERP OF THIS CRIME SEES THIS, then know that you are totally forgiven. It's hard to make amends, but it's even harder to hand write anything and put it in the snail mail. I stand in awe and admiration.

So, after hearing a commotion outside, I turned to see Penny ushering this into my shop totally unharmed. No idea what it is. I hope she didn't steal it from a nest nearby. Crazy dog. At least the cat didn't find it first :D

The peeps got so big that they outgrew their cardboard box! Spent last weekend building them a coop which accidentally looks like the gates of hell at night with the heat lamp on. My peeps are metal as F.

Dear new gin mascot and cat, Whatever you do, don't hide so well that I think you've escaped. If you do, I'll be forced to recruit the other gin mascot (and dog) to find you. What she lacks in sense and social skills, she makes up with her ability to smell cats in walls. Thanks to Sacramento SPCA and BISSELL Pet Foundation, Penny is currently suspicious of every wall and flat surface on the farm. The new cat (who I think is going to be named Damien Echols) is very content wi...th the fact that Penny believes her to be either a ghost or possibly God. Hooray.

I'll post the video tomorrow once I get my phone cable, but the chicks have a new house with a window. Penny wants to be their mom soooooooo bad. Please trust that I haven't lost my mind. All dog/baby chick interactions are heavily monitored. Penny just wants to kiss their tiny baby faces. It's her way.

So, I met with a group of business students at Sac State today and was reprimanded for my weak social media presence. They were unmoved by my excuse that it's hard to come up with relevant stuff to post. So, here you are. An irrelevant post. Here's a pic of my tiny chicken brood. It's red because of the heat lamp keeping their tiny fluffy bodies warm. I'll post about booze and whatnot as soon as it's more interesting than tiny baby chickens. At this point, it's regular boring business type stuff. Like this if you want to see more baby chicken posts though!!!!!
