Work is moving ahead for city entitlements for a couple of mixed-use projects in Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga California (see concept images below). Both projects feature office space over retail with the possibility for medical office as well. The goal is to get under construction with these projects by Q2 2022.

Construction is now under way for the 20-acre, $60 million Wild Rivers Great Park Water Park. The ceremonial groundbreaking was held on July 7 and was attended by Irvine Mayor Farrah Khan along with several other Irvine Councilpersons and city staff and representatives of KPRS, the general contractor building the project. Park Operator/Developer Mike Riedel spoke about the 15-year effort to bring this project to life, and Bundy-Finkel Architects is pleased to have been part of those efforts over the many years and to see MIke and the rest of the development team finally bring the project to fruition. The park opening is slated for May/June 2022.

Orange County Register - Wild Rivers Water Park begins construction.

We are very pleased to announce that the Wild Rivers Water Park project was unanimously approved at the City of Irvine's Planning Commission meeting on 11-19-20. This was a Herculean effort on the part of the Ownership team to shepherd this project through its two years of entitlements processing with all of the various entities involved, so a big "congratulations" to them for seeing this through to a successful conclusion. Work is now underway for the A & E team to prepare the Design Development and Construction Documents with a projected opening date for the park of April, 2022.

The Wild Rivers Water Park located in Orange County's Great Park is moving ahead towards a Summer 2022 opening date. The 18-Acre park will continue the legacy of the Wild Rivers Park that was a fixture in Orange County for decades until its closing several years ago. The overall park was designed by Aquatic Design Group with Bundy-Finkel Architects acting as Architect of Record and designer of all of the buildings in the park. the Newport Harbor Medical Plaza is now complete and USC has signed a lease to take the entire building. They should be under construction by late summer 2020 and open for business before the end of the year. Glad to see the Temecula Express Wash is almost finished and about to open for business. The next building in the center, Quick Burger, is about to start construction and the multi-tenant Retail Building by BFA will (fingers crossed) start construction some time early next year.

The GreenStreet project is now nearly complete and tenants are ready to open for business. The full-service Carwash and Detail Area, Seville Classics store, Burgerim Restaurant, La Vie Nail Spa, Saffron Restaurant and other tenants will soon be in operation.

The Newport Harbor Medical Plaza medical office building is moving ahead at a good clip. The steel building frame has been completed, the concrete decks poured, and now the steel skin is going up. Soon the window and roofing systems will be installed and the exterior skin will be completed. The project features 25,000 s.f. of office space and 2.5 levels of below-grade parking. All floors will have dramatic ocean views from the project's location on Old Newport Blvd.

Bundy-Finkel Architects is pleased to announce that construction is almost complete for the new GreenStreet Center located at the corner of Marguerite and Avery Parkways in the city of Mission Viejo, California.

We are pleased to announce the recent opening of the Crown Valley Vista project in Mission Viejo California for Tradecor Development. This was a remodel of an existing Cocos restaurant into a multi-tenant building that is now home to Cava Grill, Chipotle and Peets Coffee. We also added a 2,500 s.f. building for The Habit restaurant connected by a courtyard that leads to a private patio for Chipotle. Much appreciation is owed to Alma Giron, our Project Manager, and Clay Toombs, the client's Construction Manager, for seeing this challenging project through to its successful conclusion.

We're seeing some good progress on our GreenStreet Mission Viejo Center. Looking forward to a July 2018 Grand Opening. Also looking forward to the start of construction for the King Shabu Shabu restaurant and Seville Classics store tenants BFA designed for the center.
