I recently got engaged and decided I wanted a custom design for my ring. I am male and most men just get a simple band. I knew right away that I wanted somethin...g unique and different. I am a huge Marvel fan, so I thought it would be really cool to incorporate the six infinity stones into my ring. I came up with a design and my fiancés mom recommended I try out a local jewelry store, specifically, Bumatay’s. I was worried that my design would not be able to be made. Instead, I had a very positive experience. Not only did Bob Bumatay say it could be done, but he was also very enthusiastic about being able to work on it. You can tell he is very knowledgeable and truly enjoys making custom jewelry designs. He even had brilliant suggestions that make the rings’ true beauty stand out. I wanted to have six gems evenly spaced on the band and he came up with a way to make the stones stand out. The whole process took about a month from my first consultation to the finished product. During this time, he called me with updates on the ring to let me know what parts he would be working on. I was honestly surprised at how quickly the ring was finished. Over the years I’ve seen my dad make some very beautiful jewelry for our customer’s special occasions. Jewelry that they’ve cherished for a long time and will continue on through their families. A young man came in with a carved stone ring of a bull his father had given him, unfortunately the ring broke and other than gluing it together there wasn’t a way to fix it. My dad spent many many hours hand carving a duplicate of his ring to be casted in 14K yellow gold, with rubies ...in the eyes and diamonds in the nose, it couldn’t have turned out any better.
