Developed for a national audience, this publication provides actionable information on earthquake-related topics such as why they occur, what you need to know regionally, preparing and strengthening your home, and if needed, recovery and repair recommendations. In a time where half of all Americans live in areas that are ...at earthquake risk and/or travel to seismically active areas, having this essential knowledge can help individuals and families "Prepare, Protect, Survive, Respond, Recover and Repair." Working alongside other talented experts, Buehler principal Colin Blaney led the document’s technical development from our Silicon Valley office in San Carlos, California. Colin is a past SEAONC president, past Chairman of SEAONC’s existing building committee, and in 2016, he was inducted as a SEAOC Fellow for his contributions to the field of Structural Engineering. Colin’s experience in earthquake engineering includes the evaluation and design of both new and existing buildings of all types and includes the development of national codes and standards. On January 18th, the Buehler family came together for a night of celebration at The Sofia Home of the B Street Theatre (one of our very own projects) for our annual cocktail party! Each year, we enthusiastically share all of our achievements - tier promotions, milestone anniversaries, and firm accomplishments. Reflecting on these monumental moments is key to keeping us elevated as a collective, while creating the sense of unity that we directly attribute to our success. Buehler's parking partnership, Watry-Buehler Collaborative (WBC), is excited to announce the recent opening of SFO's newest long-term parking structure! WBC provided structural engineering and parking geometric services alongside our phenomenal design-build team of Nibbi Brothers, DLR Group|Kwan Henmi and FMG.
