So, last Saturday, two of my guitars, built at the same time, were played on stage by Kai Clark, whose uncle, Mike Cummins, bought for him years ago, and the other a twelve string, played by Johnny Walker. The Rain on Saturday lead us to ask Mateel if we could use the Hall for the Kmud Block Party--and they said yes! Thanks, Mateel! Everything else remains the same. Hello, guitar lovers! I'm pretty proud that Kai Clark, who is playing the Kmud Block Party on May 18th, will be playing a guitar I built! Oops! I just broke my own arm. And, I may be adding a little mandolin intonation to the mix of Kai, his wife in harmony, and -- looking for a sit-in guitar player -- give me sugs. By the way, Kai is the son of Gene Clark of the Kristie Minstrels, Byrds, The Dillards, Clark, Hillman and McGuinn, etc. Kai recently recorded a new album down in L.A. and he is taking precious time out of his schedule to come and play for us. The Block Party, if a tree don't fall on it--will be great!

So, a lot's been happening to make a lot more happen. Kmud gave me a live, local music show on one Thursday a month, 5-6:00 pm. So, I will have as my first live, acoustic radio show guest, Buddy Reed. This will happen April 18th, at 5:00 pm. He will have his harmonica player. Don't miss it. Then, the 420 Smokeout Kmud Party. Marty's Party--composed of those of us who jam on Friday's at the Lost Coast Guitar Shop--will play from 1:30 - 2:30 pm. The Garberville Town Ban...d will also play. Then the dj's will take over the sonic duties until the Cheech and Chong movie. Then, on Easter, I'll do my radio show, Edge of the Herd, where we'll take a look at the crack in the Cosmic Egg. Then, I'm hoping to have Kai Clark in May before the Kmud Block Party on my live, local music show. Then, wait for it--the best Kmud Block Party line-up ever! May 18th, from noon until nine.
