Buck's Fine Finishes

Things are all covered up and we are getting the wallpaper off. This process is always a gamble on how well it will come off. We got pretty lucky here that the walls were old really hard plaster and after soaking it well a few times the wallpaper is coming off mostly pretty easy with very little damage to the walls. Now we clean the walls to get all the glue residue off, prime and paint.

Current project is a 1941 Tudor style house that needs some updating. This home has wallpaper in a few rooms and oil paint throughout. We will be removing wal...lpaper in some rooms and painting Oil based enamel is a traditional paint that has a look and feel unlike any water based paint on the market. So we decided to stay with the traditional look and use oil on all the trim. This will be a fun one! See more

These chairs were in bad shape after the finish failed and the weather beat on them. So they got a full strip and a natural oil finish. It will now be much easier to maintain this furniture with just a yearly coat of oil.
