We are feeling like a broken record, but this is very important! Our phones are having connection issues, so even if you are able to call through, we may not be able to hear you, or you may not be able to hear us. This is a COX Communications issue and the technician is set to come out today (finally). Please come down if your pet needs to be seen, email us, or leave a voicemail (our voicemails are transcribed and sent to us as emails, so we are able to reply to them more quickly.) Email is the best way to reach us for now. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility with this issue that is completely out of our control!

Psssttt... our phones are still having issues. Even you are able to call us, we haven’t been able to hear anything. It is a COX Communications issue in the area, and we are told they are working on it. Please come down or email us to get in touch. We are so sorry for the inconvenience!

Good old dog, with your old gray face. You sure know how to brighten up this place. Your pace is slowing,... time is wearing thin You won't be here for long, Old Dog I'll miss your grin. My friend, before you go, there is just one thing to say. Old dog, I Love you, and I'll miss you the rest of my days. It's also been an honor to walk across this land, with your faithful head right at my hand. written by : Savana Frame We'll all miss you, Kip.

It’s still happening... we have reached out to COX communications and they have reported that they will continue working on the problem lines today. Our phones are currently down, and are very spotty when they reconnect. Please come down if your pet needs to be seen, email us, or leave a voicemail (our voicemails are transcribed and sent to us as emails, so we are able to reply to them more quickly.) Email is the best way to reach us for now. Thanks for your understanding as this is completely out of our control! #MONDAYS

November is Pet Cancer Awareness Month! This is Buddha, the sweetest fancy-tailed lab that ever lived. He was an integral part of the B Street team as he came to work with Dr. Olsen every day since we opened, 7 years ago, and he was always there to greet staff and patients alike. He had hepatocellular carcinoma, a fibrosarcoma and osteosarcoma. First diagnosed in July 2018, he battled cancer until February of this year, and while Buddha's human mom was a veterinarian, he was not spared from cancer, because it can happen to anyone. You have to be vigilant and catch it early, so if you notice that your pet is "off," you should definitely consult with your veterinarian and have your pet seen right away. . . . #cancerbites #petcancerawarenessmonth #petcancermonth #petcancer #bstreetvet #bstvet #bstreetveterinaryhospital #welovebuddha

Let's talk HOWL-O-WEEN! Cobwebs and Candles and Whiskers on Kittens: Candles and jack-o'-lanterns are a fire hazard whether you have pets or not. Dogs and cats may knock over burning candles, or let curiosity get the better of them so that they stick their faces into a jack-o-lantern. Other decorations, such as fake cobwebs, could create a choking hazard. Consider using LED tea light candles instead of real candles with flames if you are illuminating your jack-o'-lanterns. ...While Halloween isn't as noisy or frightening as the Fourth of July - the busiest night of the year for shelters - for pets it's likely in second place as Scariest Holiday of the Year. Keeping your pets away from the frenetic parts of the celebration is in both your best interests. (All of the information from these Halloween posts can be found on Veterinary Partner by VIN. Today is National Black Cat Day! Did you know that black cats are not actually "unlucky" like they are sometimes portrayed? In fact, a black cat arriving at your doorstep signals prosperity (a common belief in Scotland) and a black cat crossing your path signals good luck (in England and Ireland). We have a huge soft spot for black cats! #blackcatawarenessday #blackcatawareness #blackcatday #blackcat #blackkitty #blackkitten #goodluckcat

Bake up some homemade goodness for your pup this Halloween (or anytime, they won't mind)! . REMEMBER: If using peanut butter, be sure it does not have any xylitol in it!
