Hey guys! I am back! After months of living in a construction (my house was... looooong story), hubby seeing Covid patients and stressing/ gaining weight, I finally got some sanity and my stuff back. Master natural flow of the pattern and slight curve to each stroke, so they don’t end up looking zigzagging, messy, picket fence, fish bone... you get the idea, right? All the no no in #microblading. Do you every wonder why it’s so difficult to even your brows or your makeup changes drastically from bathroom mirror to your car visor mirror? That’s because our faces are three dimensionally uneven, and the way lights hit our faces alter the appearances. By understanding curves, planes and proportions in faces we can up our #makeupgame drastically, especially if you are photographed a lot. The goal for photography makeup should be an illusion of symmetry. As seen in photo my... one side is significantly underdeveloped than the other. I applied the makeup differently even down to lip outline to compensate and create as much balance as possible. As a studio arts major I have a trained eye for it. #throwback This is one of my favorite correction. Mature skin holds ink really well. The trick is applying as evenly as possible. #redbrows are the easiest correct because brown really is a shade of red. Unsure of #colortheory? DM. Here is another pattern for beginning artists. About 90-95% Asian clients have this pattern. But even if your clientele base isn’t Asian, I highly recommend mastering this pattern as about 30-35% of non Asian clients also have this pattern in their natural brow growths. Because everything is coming down in the back half, there is no room to hide mistakes. Master neatness, spacing and slight curve. Recently, a newly certified artist reached out for help. This is a simplified pattern for beginning artists. I don’t recommend practicing a dense pattern for beginners. Many strokes look great on practice pad but can produce poor result in skin as strokes can merge and tear the skin. Until you get experienced with different types of skin and feel more comfortable predicting healed result, I recommend sticking to clean, simple patterns. Let’s take the best route possible. To brag my 9th grader just aced algebra 2 and scored 1200 on SAT. Tiger mama, tiger brow mama, tiger teacher.. nothing but the best, the smartest and the safest for my people. Enough ICU beds is a pretty low bar for me. We waited three months already. My clients are always surprised by how much actually goes into creating the most suitable and flattering #brows. Design process is extensive and accounts for entire face as properly shaped brows can slim the face, lift the eyes and take years off. By introducing new proportions and spatial relations, brows can change the face. Unfortunately, such quality work requires a lot of time spent face to face for hours, mostly not even one ft away. You can imagine how the risk of catc...hing any respiratory virus would be extremely high in such setting even with masks. This is why #browcafe isn’t hurried to open. Various counties will announce their decision this Wednesday, but regardless of the decision, I will do what I deem best for my clients as I have always done.
