Great Q & A w/ road poet, escritor comprometido and one of the SGV's finest ambassadors of unapologetically political spoken word. https://tele-jaguar.com///5-questions-with-david-a-romero/

For those who missed the virtuoso 7th Annual Latin Jazz & Music Festival presented online this year due to the Corona virus pandemic by host Gil Cedillo, Dist. 1 Los Angeles City Councilmember who asked viewers to support El Centro del Pueblo, event producer and a community-based non-profit service organization in Echo Park, which will provide holiday meal delivery service for seniors, who are among those most vulnerable to COVID-19. A list of platforms where the concert was livestreamed is provided for your convenience. http://www.brooklynboyle.com//los-angeles-city-councilman-

From 5pm - 7pm tomorrow, L.A. City Councilmember Gil Cedillo's popular Annual Latin Jazz & Music Festival, a highland Park summer staple since 2013, presents Gilbert Castellanos' Latin Jazz Ensemble and José Rizo's Mongorama in a livestream from the stage at Cathedral High School in downtown Los Angeles. For six years, the free-of-charge, two-day outdoor event staged at Sycamore Park in the L.A.'s historic Highland Park neighborhood just got bigger and better with each succes...sive reprisal. Legendary talents such as Lil' Willie G., among many others, shared the stage with emerging local acts, attracting crowds from across Los Angeles County. Even though many of us will be estirando pata, or "shakin' a leg," er, uh, hips, more likely, alone with ourselves at home, it's a can't miss celebration. And with good reason... the nail-biter election is finally drawing to a close! And the results are way worth celebrating, que no? Watch the video for details, where to watch, etc. See more

Launched in 2013, L.A. Council Member Gilbert Cedillo 's yearly #LatinJazz & Music Festival, a summer staple at Sycamore Grove Park in the heart of the historic #HighlandPark neighborhood, just got better each year. Free to the public, the two-day fest you couldn't miss featured legendary talents alongside break-out musical acts and drew audiences from across the Greater East Side and every walk of life. For obvious reasons, the show is going virtual this year with a two-hour... concert that streams live tomorrow from 5pm - 7pm. Featuring Gilbert Castellanos' Latin Jazz Ensemble and José Rizo's Mongorama, it will be the best way I can think of to #celebratethetrumploss we waited for with baited breath and concern for the brave ballot counting volunteers and county employees nationwide who are the real heros of our democracy. Even though I'll have to dance alone at home, I wouldn't miss the Latin Jaz & Music Festival virtual edition for the world. This sneak peek video kicks it up a notch. #Ahinama! See more
