The Ebell has been our performance venue for almost 20 years and we are raising money to help them in their time of need. Our goal is to raise $20,000 and we have already raised over $4,000! Congratulations to John Blaylock for winning a National Youth Arts award for Outstanding Direction for Sweeney Todd! John has worked with us for over 20 years as a writer, workshopping and bringing his incredible one-hour musicals to life on the BOT stage, Vocal Director, Director, and a dedicated board member serving as Creative Director! Sweeney Todd was unlike anything we’ve seen on the BOT stage! John brings out the absolute best in the actors he works with, brings a clear and brilliant vision and direction to the creative team, and inspires everyone involved to create their best work. Sweeney Todd received a total of 9 awards (including Outstanding Production) and an additional 5 nominations. Congratulations to our Costume Designer, Kathi Benjamin for winning a National Youth Arts award in the category of Outstanding Costume Design forSweeney Todd! Kathi pours her heart and soul into all that she does and her passion and dedication are unmatched. She makes sure that each of our actors looks and feels their best, while also designing and creating absolutely gorgeous, detailed costumes for every production. It has been a joy to see Samantha play a wide range of characters- from Rizzo in Grease to Elsa in Frozen... she can do it all. To top it off, she is humble, gracious, professional, and authentic.
