I got to try some new lashes today by @lashlounge.byann.supplies! They are so good! Super bummed that we have to close down again but I am really looking forward to seeing everyone next year in my new location. Keep up with me while I pack up and create a new space @salonrepublic Sunnyvale!!

Let’s talk about different sets of lashes! In general there are 3 types of lash sets; Classic (single lashes), volume lashes (multiple very thin extensions per lash), hybrid (a mix of the two styles). Today we did a fresh set of volume lashes in @danielleavila.hair. Volume lashes are a great choice if you are looking for something a little more dramatic. They help to fill gaps and can give you a fluffier look. Within these three types of lash sets there are endless variations! What kind of lashes do you love?

Although Santa Clara County has moved to a lower tier and personal care services are allowed inside the county have stipulated that this does not include services to the face which means I am still out of work. Yesterday marked 6 months since I have not worked but every month I pay rent (although thank goodness my landlord lowered it and is working with me). Although I am grateful for the extra time with my girls and family I miss working and my clients! I wonder how much longer this will continue?

Today I got a sneak peak of my new studio. All the beams are in place! Such a strange time but I’m excited for when we can open and I can start my next adventure!

So here it is! My new logo! I went back and forth on whether or not to keep the name Bristle & Blush as I head into a new chapter and take a new direction, but ultimately I felt like It was important to keep it. First of all, I love the name! It was created in collaboration with my sister and my cousin and I think perfectly described what I was about at the time. Secondly, I am insanely proud of the work that I’ve done over the last 4 years. I worked really hard to make... B&B successful and to do whatever I could to support my team. And I am incredibly proud, like mom status proud, of all of the team members we have had and the way they have grown. Many of them have or will be moving onto open their own studio salons and explore/expand on their own brands. Others are moving in new directions as renters or focusing on family and mom life. To be able to say that I was any part of their personal and professional life makes me very proud. I hope that in keeping the name I can pay homage to the history of this brand and then expand on it in my own way. See more
