"America is a vast land of many cultures dating back thousands of years to the original inhabitants of the land. The history, heritage, and culture of Native Americans, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians are part of all national parks today. Every November during Native American Heritage Month and throughout the year, the National Park Service and our partners share history and the continuing culture of America’s indigenous peoples. Join the conversation on social media or learn more about Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian history and heritage by using #IndigenousHeritageMonth, #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth, and #FindYourPark or #EncuentraTuParque."

#Repost @cityofbrisbaneca Have you seen the BES Ofrenda? It is located at the BES upper field fence (on the corner of Alvarado and San Bruno). Backstory: In the Fall of 2019, BES had their very first ofrenda on campus where students and families brought in special photos or offerings to loved ones who have passed on. Wanting to continue with the tradition at BES for this school year, they had the honor of collaborating with Kiki Leon, Ava St. John, Ariadne Rosas, and Stepha...nie Davoodian to make their in-person and virtual ofrenda come to life! Visit the BES Ofrenda located along San Bruno Avenue by 11/10 to see BES loved ones who are no longer here with us, but who continue to be celebrated! #ofrenda #diadelosmuertos #dayofthedead #gonebutnotforgotten : Kiki Leon
With less than one week until Election Day, we want to encourage EVERYONE to make their voices heard. Create a Vote sign and place it in your window, then share a photo using #smilebrisbane (Our Pod Squad kids helped us decorate City Hall.) Let’s see which street can get the most posters in their windows!
