2021 harvest started at Briden Wilson Farm today with the shaking of the nonpareil almond trees. We are so thankful to have made it this far with such a challenging water year. God blessed our wells amd kept us hydrated.

The weather has been unusual, with high humidity and calm winds, plus the overcast from smoke, has slowed the drying of the almonds a bit. BUT, we are sweeping today - one step closer to picking up the first almonds of the season. #almonds #organicalmonds #homegrownalmonds #harvest

First shake of the 2020 season! Locals call them amonds because we shake the L out of them when we harvest them. #almonds #organicalmonds #homegrownalmonds

Has sheltering in place or stay-at-home orders made you appreciate home delivery? Here are just a few of the states where we've shipped our almonds directly to our customers recently! Maine, Pennsylvania, Florida, Michigan, Illinois, Mississippi, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, California,... can we add your state to that list?

Rebecca and I look forward to celebrating Easter weekend every year! This is such a special time as we remember Jesus giving himself up on the cross to bear our sin, and then on the third day rising from the grave to conquer sin and death! Wow, this is the gift of God. He is the giver of life, and we see it in the spring almond blossom, in the newly hatched birds each season (so many doves and other birds nest in the almond trees), and the ultimate gift of new life - a red...eemed life through faith in him. I realize that is very personal, yet we want to share our journey with you on the Briden Wilson Farm and that involves so much more than cultivating crops and battling weeds. Although there are so many great life lessons and spiritual truths we can learn from farming! Blessings to you and your loved ones, especially now as you may feel isolated, Love from your favorite almond farmers, Tom and Rebecca Dafoe

Safe shipping and receiving - message below: A few customers have asked about the safety of receiving cardboard packages. Good questions! Below is current information that should be useful for you, sourced directly from the World Health Organization and the US Dept of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health. From our farmer perspective, we want you to know that all our shipping materials are stored in our cold storage with the bulk almonds, namely the cardboa...rd boxes and food grade plastic bags, so they are completely isolated from outside contamination. The almonds are bagged and boxed, and the boxes are taped closed prior to leaving our "on farm" cold storage unit, ensuring the interior of the box is never exposed. If a surface were to be contaminated, such as the outside of a cardboard box, the National Institue for Health website says regarding duration the virus may survive on a surface: "The scientists found that severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) was detectable in aerosols for up to three hours, up to four hours on copper, up to 24 hours on cardboard and up to two to three days on plastic and stainless steel." From US Dept of H&HS website: https://www.nih.gov//news-releases/new-coronavirus-stable- "If you think a surface may be infected, clean it with simple disinfectant to kill the virus and protect yourself and others. Clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water. Avoid touching your eyes, mouth, or nose." From the World Health Organization website: https://www.who.int/news-room/q-a-detail/q-a-coronaviruses Tom and I are both committed to not only providing the healthiest, most natural almonds, but also ensuring your peace of mind that your shipment is safe. Love from us both, Rebecca and Tom Dafoe

Stay at home - we'll send the almonds to you! Good news, Colusa County CA is still COVID-19 free. Regardless, all our almonds are stored in our secure cold storage on our farm, so they are safe. And thankfully our faithful UPS and USPS drivers are still stopping by daily to pick up packages we've prepared to send out.
