So this is 30...I’ve spent most of my twenties trying to figure out who I am only to find who I am not. I suppose processes of elimination are valuable and I’m choosing to focus on the things that bring me great joy like tanning sheep hides with @_hollowbone_ and backpacking in the Sierras and getting my ass kicked by altitude and steep inclines. What a gift to be reminded of how strong my body is. I’d imagined having a big birthday party to celebrate 30 years around the sun but alas our current climate is asking this sweet little crab to remain in her shell being nourished by all the things that still are accessible. Grateful to all the humans who make me feel special especially on days like this. I feel seen, held and appreciated and that is all I could ever really ask for.

No person or thing will ever be enough to satisfy the full breadth of our human potential. Nature cannot afford to lose any of her stewards, so she has calibrated the heart so it is never permanently fulfilled. In the last weeks of my 20s, something new is emerging, I can’t quite be sure of what that is because it’s sure dark in this cocoon but I can only hope to be a most vibrant healthy butterfly who embraces becoming. Working to stay soft and tender thru the tantrums and growing pains. Holding compassion for this sweet body of mine and standing firm in my new awareness. No I will not celebrate the American flag, no I will not serve those who choose not to bring consciousness to t...heir privilege, I will not stay silent to injustice, I will speak from my heart fire and not for another moment dim that fire to make anyone more comfortable. Black lives still matter. We are in the midst of a pandemic that is killing minorities and elders. We are in a wave of chaos. So dance and sing big, hug yourself tight, and show up accordingly. We came for the transition and we will love it into happening for the futures to come. See more
