We built the original tile community monument sign (slide 2) back in 2004 and have been providing maintenance services to keep this community monument looking great. This month it was time for the full blown sign makeover! Advanced Management Company manages this apartment complex and many others throughout Southern California. The 29 Palms Visitor Center monument sign was precast at our shop in Anaheim. Once the sign was poured, our team sandblasted the design, and then colored stained the concrete. The sign cabinet is fabricated from corten steel with cut through letters & logo with internal illumination, which glows at night. Meet the Bravo crew! This week’s employee spotlight is on Connie, who is also known as Mama Bravo. Connie has been a part of our team since 2005. She managed our front office, contacts administration, certified payroll, and much more. Connie with her kind heart and energetic personality always greeted everyone with a big smile. One of our projects this week was fabricating and installing this unique interpretive sign for Horseshoe Lake. The horseshoe sign mount is fabricated out of corten steel, which gives the sign an aged, rusted look and continues to rust over time. After we fabricated the corten steel structure, our shop used bleach, water, and a scrub brush on the raw material to help advance the rusting stage. They continue this process until they reach the desired rust level. The City of Stanton gave us a call to replace one of their street ID signs that we made back in 2015 after it was unfortunately hit by a car. These street signs are made with breakaway posts and the sign portion is a lightweight synthetic foam. This helps lessen the impact and destruction of the car as it collides with the sign, which is really important when installing signage on busy streets or highways. We were contracted by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California to fabricate and install wayfinding signage for Diamond Valley Lake. Diamond Valley Lake is located in Hemet and is one of the largest man-made reservoirs in Southern California. To the south of Diamond Valley Lake, you will find more than 14,000 acres of open space called the Southwestern Riverside County Multi-Species Reserve. The reserve is home to at least 31 sensitive, endangered, or threatened native California bird, animal, and plant species. We recently completed these monument signs for the Esencia Sports Park in the new development in the City of Rancho Mission Viejo. RJM Design Group designed this magnificent sports park and we built the monument entry signs. We built the wood grain textured form molds in our shop, transported the molds to the site, and poured the concrete into the form molds on site. Once the concrete cured, our team removed the forms to reveal a beautiful concrete sign base with a wood grain texture. The aluminum cabinet sign saddles the concrete base on both sides with mounted dimensional letters, which give the monument signs a more dimensional look. #sportspark #construction #design #sign #signage #monumentsign #signfabrication #signdesign #sitework #install #smallbusiness
