With new shanks (wooden sticks) and hammers ( wool felt round pieces) installed, the previous wear of the mechanism shows on the lower part of the keyboard which has not yet been regulated vs higher (right hand) part of the keyboard which has been partially regulated .. @ Brani Piano Art Atelier

Restoration of a "quarter grand" Chickering piano, a very rare model that used brass flanges vs wood flanges most other piano makers used including Chickering both on same model at a later period and on most different models. We kept those brass flanges, used Tokiwa brand shanks with Steinway type flanges, removed the Steinway type flange and installed new center pins into shanks, and then mounted the shanks onto the original brass flanges.. @ Brani Piano Art Atelier
