The adventure begins for Crew 709-JJ at Philmont Scout Ranch in the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains of New Mexico
Hello everyone, This year Troop 121 celebrates its 104th anniversary! Here is our latest newsletter.
Thank you LA Host Lions Club for your generous Christmas gift to all our Scout families!
Well, we’ve made it: December 2020! As this extraordinary year comes to a close, I wish everyone continued health and safety as we continue to navigate this pandemic. For those who have pre-ordered the book A Century of Honor, about the history of Troop 121, it is almost done! It has taken a little longer to finish than expected but rest assured, it is worth the wait. Thank you for your patience. We hope to have it ready later this month. If you haven’t ordered it yet and would like to do so, details about how to do that are in the newsletter, which is attached. Happy holidays to one and all!
Happy Thanksgiving to the entire Troop 121 Family!
Troop 121 Scouts, adult leaders and parents completed a five mile hike to Echo Mountain via the Sam Merril Trail in the Angeles National Forest. Everyone in attendance was rewarded with mild temperatures and great views of the Los Ángeles basin. From 1893 to 1936 Echo Mountain was the home of Echo Mountain House Hotel, popularly nicknamed The White City and the historic Mt. Lowe Scenic Railway.
