Bothe-Napa Valley State Park is open for use again this morning. The park was closed for public safety Monday morning because of a small fire in a remote secti...on of the park but has reopened for day use and camping today. Many thanks to our friends at CAL FIRE for their quick response to yesterday's incident. There may be intermittent smoke from other fires in the county, but currently Bothe is experiencing no smoke or adverse conditions. They may look like a band of masked trail vigilantes, but our volunteers were out this Saturday taking care of some much needed tread work in Bothe-Napa Valley ...State Park. We hosted the first NOSD volunteer trail project since February & got a badly worn section of trail near one of the creeks back in great shape while staying socially distant and safe throughout the project. State Parks is monitoring the coronavirus situation closely and is following guidance provided by the Governor’s Office via the California Department of Public Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services. In response, State Parks will continue to create new messages and graphics that highlight healthy ways people can enjoy the outdoors.

As of March 17, 2020: California State Parks has temporarily closed all campgrounds in the state park system to support state and local efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). All overnight facilities closed at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park including campsites, yurts and cabins. Bale Grist Mill will be closed. Day-use will remain open at Bothe-Napa Valley and Robert Louis Stevenson State Parks. Visitors are reminded to practice social distancing and maintain at least six feet between other visitors and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
