We were excited to have the California City Whiptails baseball team pay us a visit. Make sure to go along to a home game at Rio Tinto Field, Balsitis Park and support our local team.

We were proud to host the annual grant luncheon where the Borax Visitor Center Foundation distributed $25,000 in grants. These grants support the efforts of many local community organizations and local educational institutions. Our Borax Visitor Center has been open for 20 years this year. Another anniversary for us to celebrate. Today we had 150 elementary students from Barstow visit our center to learn all about our history, mining, processing and the value of minerals in our everyday lives. They had fun 'mining' their own samples to take home.
