Main St, Ventura The Citizens for Community Support encourages everyone to come and spend $10 or more to help keep these stores open. DOOR PRIZES! *A cash mob is a group of people who assemble at a local business to make purchases. The purpose of these mobs is to support both the local businesses and the overall community. Seeking social justice

Free books to those who loss their home in the fires. Over 12,000 books, pick up weekly thru the end of 2019. Recovery takes time. Free books also available to teachers. Location at our Ventura location, Bank of Books 748 E. Main and Abednego Book Shoppe 2682 E. Main

Our Pledge to those who lost their homes in the Thomas Fire in Ventura, Ojai, Santa Paula, Fillmore, Santa Barbara, Carpinteria and Montecito: We will be giving away over 10,000 books to help encourage and rebuild from your loss. You can pick up some of these books beginning now and you will be able to come in multiple times between now and end of 2018. There will be a selection at both Bank of Books & Abednego Book Shoppe to pick from. Books will be added weekly. In addition..., through the end of 2018, you will have the right to purchase any of the rare or used books in our bookstores at 50% off. We hurt for you and want to do our part to help you. Recovery takes time and community support is needed. We have appreciated our community helping us in our time of recovery and want to do our part now. Our Pledge to first responders: We also want to express our appreciation to the commitment of the first responders, the Firefighters, Police and CHP. There are additional free books for you, to express our appreciation. You made such a difference, saving lives and property. Thank You
