Hello Again Friends: To keep you further informed, effective 3/20/2020, The US Treasury Dept has issued an extension to those with tax liability balances. In other words, if you owe a 2019 tax balance, you may now take until 7/15/2020 to satisfy this balance, free of penalty and interest. You may view this information at: www.irs.gov.

Dear Friends: We are receiving daily calls from concerned taxpayers, wondering if we're still open for business? Please rest assured that WE ARE OPEN and diligently working in preparing and processing tax returns for the upcoming April 15th deadline. However, with each passing day, our concerns for the safety and security of each of you, along with our own families, does certainly increase. It is with this in mind, that I encourage all clients to consider dropping off t...heir tax documentation, rather than have face-to-face consultation. We will continue to schedule and accept appointments, though we will now offer the option of conducting consult via telephone. This is routine practice for us as we prepare returns for clients in all taxable states. Again, your safety is our focus. Please stay healthy and remain indoors as much as possible. It's Official, we're IN tax season. The new tax laws have been detrimental for some and positive to others. It's crazy busy but ALWAYS a welcome treat to see my client friends and family that I only get to visit with annually. By the way, a gigantic THANK YOU to everyone who voted us 2019's Bakersfield Best Bookkeeping and Income Tax Service! Wow, I'm genuinely honored (and very flattered) just to have been nominated. Hello Dear Client Family! I wanted to take a quick moment to remind and encourage many of you of the following IMPORTANT Updates.... First and Foremost, PLEASE have a joyous and SAFE holiday season. We are in the process of implementing new equipment, procedures and educating seasonal staff members, to make ensure your tax preparation is as smooth and efficient as possible, in light of the many head-scratching and frustrating tax changes that the majority of all taxpayers ...shall experience. Clients should anticipate that preparation appointments will take a little extra time and unfortunately, preparation fees shall also increase to compensate for the many new forms and schedules mandatorily required. I encourage each of you, especially my low-key, I’ll deal with it April clients, to get in much earlier. PREPLANNING IS KEY!!! We are ACCEPTING APPOINTMENTS NOW and currently have most evening & week nights still available on a first come, first serve basis. We will also continue to offer cancelation lists and notify you, generally within a few hours of the appointment, and offer Friday Open House Night’s, to simplified walk-in taxpayers with W-2 wages only. No appointment is needed for the Open House though please call the office to see which Friday nights that the events are scheduled. Secondly, PLEASE take a moment to review your withholdings using the attached link. Eliminate months of unnecessary worry, use the handy work sheet to review your year-to-date earnings right away. It’s hard to believe that the 2018 tax season is just around the corner. With a few months still to go, It’s time for all of us to plan a head in making sure that past and present employers, financial and investment agencies, educational institutions, etc., have your current mailing and email information on file. Tax forms are mailed/emailed in January 2019. Save yourself the anguish and frustration in scrambling for duplicate tax forms later, make those account updates now.
