There she obtained comprehensive training and clinical experience in orthopedics and dermatology, and also worked with pediatric patients at Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego. After graduation, she embarked on an exciting journey to Nepal, not only as a healthcare practitioner b...ut also as a scholar of the human experience. As a volunteer with the Acupuncture Relief Project in Nepal she provided healthcare for those suffering from many ailments including: chronic pain, insomnia, psoriasis, menopause, sciatica, and COPD. Andrea strongly supports the integration of Eastern and Western medicine and is committed to helping her patients reach their utmost potential in physical, mental and spiritual health, respecting each as a unique being. She is fascinated by the powers of acupuncture and Chinese medicine and its amazing abilities to heal. Her father found relief for chronic back pain after just two chiropractic treatments, and she was hooked! As a graduate of Palmer Chiropractic College in Florida, Dr. Thompson utilizes several techniques including: Gonstead, Diversified, Activator, Graston, extremity adjusting, and kinesiotaping. She enjoys incorporating her knowled...ge of nutrition and fitness training to create comprehensive treatment plans. For the past 5 years, Dr. Thompson has worked with a team at a multidisciplinary pain management clinic in Palm Springs. She has experience treating patients of all ages and patients with multiple complex conditions. She loves to stay fit by running, hiking, swimming, biking, weightlifting, and doing Crossfit and yoga classes! She has a passion for travel and likes to experience other cultures and especially try different foods.
