Nice feedback from a client today... "Guess what? my head is easier to hold up! it usually falls back on my neck like a heavy bowling ball. Significantly lighter.. some magical force seems to be supporting it! Nice work, Bhaskar :)"
My most recent Yelp review... "Getting a massage with Bhaskar is a revelation. I am a massage connoisseur - you name it, I've tried it. But I have never experienced anything like the massage I had with Bhaskar. His hands are magical, and his touch is, dare I say it? Healing. As someone who regularly gets deep tissue massages, I wasn't expecting to get much out of a light Thai Yoga massage session, but I was so wrong. Bhaskar's work is like an art. Every single stroke is plann...ed, he never takes an extraneous step or move. Every single move he makes is to massage your body into a relaxed mess on the floor. In short, this is amazing...a small price to pay for a life changing experience." (Below: example of a duel circuit. These lesser known energetic techniques add a powerful punch)
Been enjoying playing with the Bow stretch of late and its many variants...taking the body into this amazing arc...such a great way to create a full body expansion.
Yesterday's class on working with leg injuries...shifting focus to the energetic layers...
We did some nice work in class the other day on the Sen lines of the head. Deeply relaxing...preceded by some work on the spinal column...together - great way to tone down the nervous system...
Unplug, detox, explore and unwind on this one-of-a-kind DreamTime Hot Spring adventure...the primary focus is to experience the beauty and wonder of the desert and whenever possible squeeze in some Thai Massage... https://www.wetravel.to//hot-springs-thai-yoga-massage-in-
Thai massage or as they call it in Thailand, nuad boran, translates into ancient massage and in keeping with this ancient heritage my style of Thai bodywork is essentially paleo-centric in its approach. Our bodies are designed to walk a lot and occasionally run. Our ancestors spent a lot of their time doing both activities chasing game, gathering food, running after kids, running from predators, exploring their surroundings, migrating with the seasons etc. etc.... Our bodies are designed to perform these activities well - walking and running. And from a design perspective what allows the body to efficiently perform these activities is the cross-coordination of opposite limbs the left arm moves in synch with the right leg while the right arm is in step with the left leg simple yet elegant. Opposing limbs working together, moving in harmony. The relationship is subtle, often so smooth, like the act of breathing, that we hardly take notice. One of the primary emphases of my style of working with the body is to restore and optimize this primal movementso that we can move the way we were designed to move. In our modern world, many of us seem to do less of both walking or running. Furthermore we spend an inordinate amount of time sitting on our duffs, a static posture that crimps our spines. Walking and running aid in lengthening the spine, keeping our torsos elongated, promoting spinal flexibility. This is the essence of my bodywork, integrating left and right diagonally across the body, lower and upper halves, back and front sides, all the while lengthening, lengthening, lengthening the limbs, the spine, through extensive stretching and rockingrestoring the body to its natural form; reminding it that it functions best as a whole unit. The "Arm Twist" is a great position for opening space in the region of the "wings" a tight area for a lot of people hunched over computers all day.
