Here’s a warm welcome to our PT student Haley Anderson! Haley grew up in El Dorado Hills and is in her third and final year of PT school at Regis University in Denver, CO. She is one week into her 11 week rotation here at Body Logic, mentored by Nate Tanney, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT. She is passionate about the outdoors- loves to go hiking, camping, and pitching her hammock anywhere she can amongst the trees. She also enjoys cooking, running, playing basketball, and watching football (Chargers fan, anyone else?!) Who is your team? Let us know, cheers!

This past weekend I was able to get in a cyclocross bike race down in Folsom, CA. It was under strict CDC guidelines. Masks were worn by all competitors at all times before and after racing. With 10 seconds before the gun went off to start the race, makes were off and 45 minutes of sprinting around corners, through twisty turns, up and down hills and jumping over the mandatory 15 inch barriers for a USA Cycling style sanctioned cyclocross bike race. it was a 6 lap race hammer fest. Ouch that hurt. Three members of the Body Logic / Sierra Express Racing team were there putting down the hammer, or getting hammered. It was a tough race, but all races should be tough. Besides me, Craig Lindberg and Tom Wood were all racing. Check out a few of the pics Craig got of me and I got of him.

Happy Tuesday! We’ve had some exciting things happening here at BLPT. John Seivert, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, PMA-CPT, and owner of Body Logic, had the pleasure of speaking at the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT) Conference at the beginning of the month. Here is a look into his presentation (plus his amazing photography), where he talked about Motivational Interviewing (MI). His session focused on understanding the basic concepts of MI, demons...trating the effectiveness in helping patients make positive changes with ideas and plans that have come from the patient, not the PT trying to fix the problem. We are here for you at BLPT, open and following CDC guidelines, ready to help you restore function through skilled manual therapy, specific and effective exercise, and patient education supported by the latest and strongest research.
