Amjad has extensive stand-up trial experience having participated in multiple jury trials, as well as significant appellate experience. Amjad is also an Adjunct Professor at UCLA Law School, where he teaches Contracts for Foreign Lawyers. Amjad has been recognized as a Rising Star by Southern California Super Lawyers every year since 2012. Amjad joins Brown, Neri & Smith from the Los Angeles office of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld LLP. He earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College. Following graduation from law school, Amjad clerked on the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals for the Honorable Warren J. Ferguson. I have worked with Amjad since our time together at Latham & Watkins. On December 12, 2018 a Los Angeles jury unanimously awarded BNSK client Interstate Restoration $6.2 million, the full amount sought, against A Community of Friends for breach of contract relating to the remediation of two large apartment buildings after a torrential rainstorm. BNSK will seek further amounts for interest and court costs in post-trial motions on behalf of Interstate. The BNSK trial team was led by managing partner, Ethan Brown, along with Patricia Eberwine, Sara Colon and Nona Yegazarian.

Geoff Neri is an experienced trial lawyer whose practice focuses primarily on complex business, commercial and entertainment-related disputes. As a trial lawyer, Geoff has earned a reputation as a skilled and formidable advocate for both plaintiffs and defendants. On the one hand, he recently secured a $2.3 million jury verdict, including $1.8 million in punitive damages, on behalf of the plaintiff in a business partnership dispute. On the other hand, Geoff has also secured c...omplete defense victories before and at trial for defendants facing potentially catastrophic liability. Prior to joining the partnership, Geoff worked in private practice at a large, international law firm (Latham & Watkins LLP), as well as at a small, trial litigation "boutique" (Miller Barondess LLP). Nate Smith is a proven trial lawyer with successful plaintiff and defense verdicts to his credit, including a $10 million verdict. Nate received the peer-review rating AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, meaning that his peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence. Nate has worked for two large international firms, Latham & Watkins and Perkins Coie. Nate’s diverse practice includes representing individuals and companies in a range of business disputes involving breach of contract, business torts, trade secrets and intellectual property litigation, class actions, employment litigation, product liability litigation and business bankruptcy litigation.

Sara Colón is a graduate of Barnard College at Columbia University and the law school at University of California - Berkley. She formerly worked at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York. Her practice is focused on business litigation.

Jill Glennon has a B.S. in Engineering from UCLA and graduated from Georgetown Law Center. She formerly practiced in in the securities and professional liability practice group at Latham & Watkins.
