This is a little late, but we want to thank Starbucks for the much needed coffee. The Christmas cards, kind words and sweet treats we have received are also appreciated! From our family to yours, Merry Christmas! ... Please be safe! Please stay home and quarantine if you are sick. Please don’t drink and drive, plan ahead, designate someone to safely get you home.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to CHP Motor Officer Andy Ornelas’ family and friends, and to all of our brothers and sisters of the CHP. On November 23, 2020, Officer Ornelas was responding to a vehicle collision in the Antelope Valley area when a vehicle pulled from the right shoulder to make a U-turn, directly in front of Officer Ornelas’ motorcycle. Officer Ornelas struck the other vehicle, causing him to be thrown from his motorcycle. Officer Ornelas sustained multiple injuries. Despite significant life-saving efforts by medical personnel, Officer Ornelas succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. #hero #chp #officerornelas #serviceaboveself #ultimatesacrifice
