Blueprint Recovery Center..."Recovery is not a destination, but a process"...so true.

All of us at the Blueprint Recovery Center wish you had a very happy holiday season and a beautiful and prosperous 2014.

When times get tough some of the shorter quotes seem to help us get back on track better than the longer ones. A few that come to mind: - Feelings are not facts. - This too shall pass. - One day at a time.

The took an trip to Universal CityWalk for a some dining, shopping, and good clean fun. We had a good laugh when we saw this one. It reminded us of the saying, You can get the monkey off your back, but the circus never leaves town. So nice to have the "monkey off our backs".

After hitting our bottom, we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and look ahead at what opportunities now exists for us on the distant horizon. "Rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life." - J.K. Rowling

We took an outing to the miniature golf course the other day. We had such a great time. The competition was fierce but we all came home winners with another day of sobriety, strong fellowship, and quality time with family.

Recovery is a reality. It can, will, and does happen.

The pool at the center looks inviting now that summer is upon us. As we take steps into the cool water to escape the heat we think of the quote by Mark Twain, Habit is habit, and not to be flung out of the window by any man, but coaxed down-stairs one step at a time. Time to take a dip in the pool of sobriety as well...one step at a time.

Last month Blueprint Recovery piled into the recovery van and went to see Cavalia's show OdyseeO. It was a wonderful night out and an amazing show. Another incredible experience we had without drugs and/or alcohol.
