Blue Lake Volunteer Fire Department

The Blue Lake Fire Department, and the City of Blue Lake, would like to congratulate Dan Flores, our Blue Lake resident firefighter, on his recent acceptance to the Shasta College Fire Academy in Redding. Dan has been a resident firefighter with the BLVFD for two years and has dedicated countless hours to our community and the district. Dan is an experienced emergency responder and firefighter, with a background in emergency medical and experience in wildland and structure f...irefighting. Dan has been an integral part of the BLVFD family and we’re so proud of his accomplishments. As a resident firefighter, Dan has been first-out on 100’s of calls in our district, including those late night and early morning calls. He has spent numerous hours training new volunteers and has taken great pride in maintaining the department’s equipment. Dan is committed to a career in the fire service and hopes to graduate from the academy and make his way back to Blue Lake. The fire academy is a four-month program and will provide Dan with his Firefighter One Certificate. Dan will be applying for local positions with CalFire and plans on maintaining his connection to the BLVFD. We would like to wish Dan good luck and great success in his educational pursuits, and we look forward to his return to our community.
