Am I the only one that sees the perfect storm about to make landfall? Who remembers the Great Depression of Fall 2008 - Summer 2009, regarding guns and ammunit...ion? Who remembers the Nov 2012 - July 2013 ammo drought? You couldn't find 9mm, .45 ACP, 5.56 (62 gr "Green Tip") or 7.62 x 51 (NATO rounds) at a reasonable price in a store or at a gun show....... 5.56 was selling for almost $700.00 a case, and 9mm for upwards of $300. .45ACP - if you could find it, it sold for $425!!!! How and why did this happen? 1. Panic buying in the face of the 2008 election 2. Post inauguration panic buying because many thought President Obama was going to take our guns (Molon Labe). 3. Iraq Surge 4. Afghanistan Surge 5. Massive USG agency purchases Does history not repeat itself? We are six months away from a Presidential Election. An election in which many believe Hillary, who is allegedly anti-gun, has a pretty good shot at winning. I'm not saying she will make any headway with regard to gun control. What I'm saying is, her presence in the election is going to create panic the closer we get to the election. There will already be slim pickings on the shelves; at your local dealers, online, and in the forums. So, now there is a panic (high demand) and no supply. Then, miraculously, at the turn of the year ammo will trickle on to the shelves. However, it will be perfectly timed with tax returns and you'll notice that ammo costs have spiked. In addition to the increase in ammo prices, you'll hear rumblings of increased troop deployments on the horizon. Why, because the newly elected POTUS will be forced to deal with ISIS. Ammunition stocks will be diverted from the civilian market to DoD contracts. Where you will go for ammo? Who can you turn to in your time of need? San Diego Ammo! We stay up late thinking about this. We are working hard to ensure that our shelves stay stocked, so that we'll be able to sell you ammunition at a fair price..... Stay Tuned

As you know, the FBI typically leads the charge on LE service weapons/calibers. Since 2014, there has been discussion that the FBI would soon return to 9mm. (...This is after leading the original charge on .40 S&W.) The effects of this will reach far past the federal agency level, and we'll soon see a rush on 9mm ammunition at the state and local levels. What does this mean to you? It means you should lean forward and start slowly, but aggressively stocking up on 9..... You don't have to buy it by the case; however, if you grab a couple of boxes each time you roll out to the store, you will amass a small stockpile. And, any shortages or price increases will have minimal impacts on your ability to shoot on the weekends.... You may also want to grab that Glock 17, 19, or 26 you've been wanting. As, most agencies will begin establishing contracts for those firearms. See more
