BMP: Describe your personal style. Contextual. I will wear anything and everything that I like but often tend to consider what the day is bringing with it and/or what I hope it will. Black is a staple in my closet and I have every iteration of it in there. I’ll add color and pattern when I feel up to reflecting and sharing my mood. I’m a big believer in dressing for yourself first and foremost. BMP: What do you love most about fashion? Its ever evolving nature. Change prom...otes growth and gives rise to new ideas and new ways of thinking. As long as I have been captivated by fashion I have never stopped learning about art, global affairs, people or myself. BMP: Who is/are your favorite designer(s) or brand(s)? This is impossible to answer. Yamamoto (Kansai + Yohji), Kawakubo, Miyake, Westwood, Sander, Owens, and Mugler stand out as luminaries in my mind. BMP: Why should anyone shop blkmktplc.? If you need more coaxing I can tell you that blkmktplc. is building an environment and culture that is less about what you consume and more about how you think and feel about what you consume. Does it feel good? Is it right? Where did it come from? Who made this? Why was it made? Whom was it made for? Do I need it? Where will it go?
